South Park roots

Doug Huff — DJ Wrekk — came up in Houston when the fastest way to move music was a dual-cassette deck and patience. Long before anything streamed, he was recording, dubbing and passing tapes hand to hand through the neighborhoods that built the city's sound, running with the South Park Coalition family of artists.

That coalition identity never left the work. The crew, the block and the physical tape are still the units this catalog is measured in.

The screwed tradition

Houston slowed music down and made it its own. Working in the lineage that DJ Screw's circle pioneered, Wrekk chops and screws with a collector's ear — stretching records until the bass turns to syrup and every bar gets room to land.

His screwed classics series pulls from the city's own shelves, Bigtyme Recordz-era material included, reworked tape by tape into his own slowed editions.

The WrekkNBall era

Today the output runs under the WrekkNBall Entertainment banner: screwed mixes, high-energy trap mashups that flip pop records into something Houston-shaped, and original productions spread across every major streaming platform.

The DJ work is only half the story. Wrekk is a multimedia designer too — album art, cover design and music video production — which is why this site has a multimedia showcase alongside the music.

2000s — Catalog years

The screwed sound matures and the shelf fills up: mix CDs, screwed reworks of Houston label material and a steady run of collaborations across the city's scene.
2010s — Mixtapes & multimedia

Mixtape DVDs over shop counters, video edits, flyer and cover design — the visual side of the operation grows into a practice of its own.
